Macmillan Support Bags

At Tibard, we’ve always believed that the smallest details can make the biggest difference. Recently, our team of skilled machinists designed and created 400 bespoke pamper bags for Macmillan Cancer as part of their day of volunteering to support the community— including 100 men's bags over two colourways and 150 women's bags with cosmetic bags over two colourways, each one made with care and creativity to help those that need it the most.

This idea is more than a shift from paper to fabric; it’s a step towards greater comfort, sustainability, and privacy for those receiving care during difficult times. Every bag is carefully made using discontinued materials, giving new purpose to fabrics that might otherwise go to waste. All filled by Macmillan with cosmetics, toiletries, hand cream, lip balm, puzzle books, and stress balls.

Our machinists worked cooperatively throughout the process — cutting, stitching, and perfecting every detail to finishing. A charity close to home for some of our staff who are grateful for the help and support from Macmillan. The women’s bags feature gentle pastel colours and floral patterns with a mini coordinating zip pouch to match. The men’s versions consist of sleek grey and blue stripes for a timeless and simple look. We added embroidered hearts, a heartfelt symbol of solidarity, to make each one even more personal.

The project has inspired us to continue exploring new ways to reuse strong, sustainable fabrics that can be recycled while supporting important causes. Working together, our staff have shown that practical design carries deep meaning and how sustainability and compassion go hand in hand.

We’re incredibly proud of what’s been achieved so far, and even more excited to continue doing what we can — one stitch, one bag, and one act of kindness at a time.
