Mastering the Roll-Out: How Tibard Manages Large Uniform Orders with Precision and Care

In the fast-paced world of business, ensuring your team looks professional is essential. However, large uniform orders for your team can be a daunting task, and that’s why working with a company that is well-versed in handling multi-site orders from some of the largest businesses in the country is essential. Whether it is selecting the right mix of products to meet your needs, ensuring the sizing is implemented consistently, personalising your uniform to match your brand or simply ensuring your order gets to you in a timely manner. At Tibard, we understand these challenges and have developed a streamlined approach to help our clients, from leading restaurant chains to logistical giants, successfully navigate the intricacies of large-scale uniform rollouts.

In this blog, we'll take you behind the scenes of our roll-out process by exploring two distinct case studies: British Airway’s Lounges and Las Iguanas. Each showcases our ability to tailor solutions to the unique needs of our clients, from organising thousands of garments into wearer sets to delivering customised uniforms with complex designs. Along the way, we'll also highlight the range of services we offer to ensure that every large order is handled with the utmost care and efficiency.

Baxter Storey for British Airways Lounge, Heathrow Airport

When Baxter Storey, the catering company responsible for the British Airways Lounge at Heathrow Airport, needed to refresh the front-of-house uniforms, they required a look that would seamlessly align with the sophistication and professionalism of the British Airways brand. The challenge was clear: each team member required a smart, coordinated suiting uniform that not only met the airline's high standards but also offered comfort and durability for long shifts in a bustling environment. Each of the 349 staff members required four shirts or blouses, three pairs of trousers or skirts, two waistcoats, and two scarves or ties, making organisation of paramount importance.

To bring this vision to life, Baxter Storey approached Tibard with a clear idea of the look they needed to maintain British Airways’ brand identity. Our team got to work by creating mood boards and design concepts, ensuring that every detail aligned with the British Airways brand. Through a collaborative process, we refined these ideas until the perfect look was achieved, resulting in a curated selection of 19 different products that provided a cohesive, stylish, and practical uniform solution.

Given the comprehensive range of sizes required for suiting to ensure a flawless fit, a sizing day was organised. This step was crucial in making sure every team member received the correct size and felt confident in their new attire. Our Managing Director, Ian Mitchell, personally travelled to Heathrow Airport to conduct the sizing day, allowing each staff member to try on the range and select the perfect fit. This personal approach ensured every detail was attended to, from the overall look to individual comfort, culminating in a new look for British Airways Heathrow that truly met their expectations.

But our involvement did not end there. Once the sizing day was completed, we had a comprehensive list of each staff member's chosen styles and sizes from the 19 product selections, which we were now ready to fulfil. To simplify the distribution process for the BA Lounge team, we organised the order into individual wearer sets. Each staff member’s uniform was individually packaged, ensuring that the right garments were delivered directly to each person, streamlining the handover process.

The order was delivered in a timely fashion, with all the uniforms arriving neatly packed and ready for immediate use. Additionally, to facilitate future orders and top-ups, we set up a dedicated section for Baxter Storey: British Airways Lounges on our cloud-based uniform order portal. This system allows them to easily reorder items as needed, ensuring that their team always has access to the uniforms they require.

All of this culminated in a swift, efficient rollout that exceeded expectations and left everyone at the Baxter Storey, satisfied with the process and the final result.

Las Iguanas T-Shirt Rollout

Las Iguanas, a long-standing Tibard customer, approached us with a straightforward yet sizable request: to roll out three new T-shirt designs for their front-of-house staff. With 2,835 T-shirts to produce, along with additional stock to be held for future top-ups or exchanges, the focus was on the speed of delivery & quality of the screen print to ensure their vision was fully realised.

Given their familiarity with our product range, Las Iguanas already knew the exact style of t-shirt they wanted. Our task was to finalise designs and send out samples to ensure they met the brand's expectations. Once the designs and prices were approved, we swiftly moved into organising the screen printing of the three designs. Once the designs had been printed onto the t-shirts we distributed the t-shirts to hundreds of sites from our centralised warehouse and added the excess stock into our bulk warehouse ready for quick dispatch when exchanges and top-ups were needed.

While this project may seem straightforward, it underscores how our comprehensive expertise and experience enable us to handle large orders with ease. It's this level of proficiency that allows us to execute such rollouts swiftly and consistently, ensuring flawless deliveries every time.
